It creates an ellipse or an elliptical arc
Command
line: ELLIPSE
( ELLIPSE_A, ELLIPSE _C)
Specify an endpoint of the major axis of the ellipse or [Arc/Center]: specify a point or enter an option
Endpoint of the major axisIt defines the first axis by its two endpoints. The angle of the first axis determines the rotation of the ellipse, while the first axis can define either the major or the minor axis of the ellipse. Specify the second endpoint of the major axis: Specify a point (2) Specify the length of the second axis or [Rotation]: Specify a length by entering a value or locating a point (3), or enter R Rotation It creates the ellipse by rotating a circle about the first axis. Specify rotation around major axis: Specify a point (3), or enter an angle Move the crosshairs around the center of the ellipse and click. If a value is entered, the higher the value, the greater the eccentricity of the ellipse. Entering 0 defines a circular ellipse.

ArcIt creates an elliptical arc. The angle of the first axis determines the angle of the elliptical arc. The first axis can define either the major or the minor axis of the elliptical arc. Specify the starting point of the arc or [Center]: Specify a point or enter C Major axis endpointIt defines the starting point of the first axis. Specify second endpoint of axis: Specify length of second axis or [Rotation]: Specify a distance or enter R The descriptions of the options about length of the second axis and rotation match those of the corresponding options under Center. CenterIt creates the elliptical arc using a specified center point. Specify center of elliptical arc: Specify first endpoint of major axis: Specify length of second axis or [Rotation]: Specify a distance or enter R Length of the other axisIt defines the length of the second axis. Specify starting angle or [Parameter]: Specify a point (1), enter a value or enter P The descriptions of the options about starting angle and parameter match those of the corresponding options under Rotation.
RotationIt defines the major to minor axis ratio of the ellipse by rotating a circle about the first axis. The higher the value (from 0 through 89.9 degrees), the greater the ratio of minor to major axis. Entering 0 will define a circle. Specify rotation around major axis: Specify a rotation angle Specify starting angle or [Parameter]:Specify an angle or enter P Starting angle It defines the first endpoint of the elliptical arc. The Angle option activates in turns the Parameter mode and Angle mode. The mode controls how the ellipse is calculated. Specify ending angle or [Parameter/Included angle]: Specify a point (2), enter a value or enter an option
Parametric it requires the same input as Starting angle, but it creates the elliptical arc using the following parametric vector equation p(u) = c + a* cos(u) + b* sin(u) where c is the center of the ellipse, while a e b are respectively its major and minor axes. Specify starting parameter or [Angle]: specify a point, enter a value, or enter A Specify the end angle or [Angle/Included angle]: Specify a point, enter a value, or enter an option

CenterIt creates the ellipse by a specified center point. Specify center of ellipse: Specify a point (1) Specify endpoint of axis: Specify a point (2) Specify length of second axis or [Rotation]: Specify a distance by entering a value or locating a point (3), or enter R Length of second axis It defines the length of the second axis. Rotation Creates the ellipse by rotating a circle about the first axis. Specify rotation around major axis: Specify a point or enter an angle between 0 and 89.9 degrees Specify starting angle or [Parameter]: Specify an angle or enter P Move the crosshairs around the center of the ellipse and click. If you enter a value, the higher the value, the greater the eccentricity of the ellipse. Entering 0 will define a circle. |
