How to create single-line text

  1. Click on the menu Draw  Text... Single line text.
  2. Specify the insertion point for the first character or the desired alignment.
  3. Specify an angle of rotation for the text.

It is possible to enter an angle's value or to use the pointing device.

  4. Specify the height of the text. This prompt is displayed only if text height is set to 0 in the current text style.

An elastic line is attached from the insertion point of the text to the cursor. Click to set the height of the text on the length of the elastic line.

  5. Enter the text. At the end of each line, press ENTER. Enter more text as required.

If another point is specified during this command, the cursor will move to that point of the text, and it is possible to continue typing. Every time ENTER is pressed or a point is specified, a new text object is created.

  6. To end the operation press ENTER in a blank line.
