Variants:REGION_AI,REGION_AI_BY_IP,REGION_BY_IP,REGION_DI,REGION _DIP

Regions are two-dimensional areas created from closed shapes or loops. Closed polylines, lines, and curves are valid selections. Curves include circular arcs, circles, elliptical arcs, ellipses, and splines.

Closed polylines in the selection set are converted to separate regions. As a consequence, polylines, lines, and curves are converted to form closed planar loops [outer boundaries and holes (islands) of a region].

It is possible to add islands inside a region as well.

The tab shows the commands relative to a region:

REGION_BY_IP It creates a region from an inner point
REGION_AI_BY_IP It adds an island from an inner point
REGION It creates a region
F_REGION_AI It adds an island
REGION_AI It adds an island
F_REGION_AI It adds an island
REGION_DI It deletes an island
REGION_DIP It deletes an island and it converts it into a polyline
