The layers are used to group information based on the function and to apply the type of line, the color and other standards.
The layers are equivalent to the super-imposed transparent sheets used in conventional drawnings on paper. The layers constitute the main organizing tool used in the drawing. They are in fact used to group information based on the function and to apply the linetype, the color and other standards.
Every drawing includes a layer 0, which can not be eliminated or renamed. It is used to grant that every drawing has to include al least one layer.
Note It is advisable to create and organize the drawing using several new layers, instead of creating the whole drawing on layer 0.
