It is possible to check which layers are listed in the layer property Manager and ordering them according to their names or properties, e.g. color or visibility

A layer filter limits the visibility of the names of the layers in the layer property Manager. When working on big drawings, the designer can use the layer filters to exclusively see the layers on which he/she is working

There are several types  of layer filters:

The structure of the layer property Manager shows the default layer filters and the filters with names created and saved in the current drawing. The icon set beside a layer filter shows its type. There is one default filter

After a name has been assigned and a layer filter has been defined, it is possible to select it in the structure to view the layers in the directory.

Definition of a layer property filter

A layer property filter is defined in the layer filter Property dialog window, in which it is possible to select one of the following filter-defining properties

It is possible to use jolly characters to filter layers according to their names. For example, to view only the layers starting with the letters meccit is possible to type mecc* .

The layers existing in a property filter can be changed modifying the layer properties. For example, there is a layer property filter named "sito", including all the layers containing in their name the letters sito and a CONTINUOUS linetype. If the linetype of such layers is modified, the layers with the new linetype will not any longer belong to the "sito" filter and will not be visible when such filter will be applied.
