Modifying
the color of an object
|
|
It
is possible to change the color of an object reassigning it to an other layer, or
modifying the color of the layer on which the object is, or directly specifying the
color of the object.
There
are three ways of modifying the color of an object:
- 1)
To re-assign the object to an other layer bearing a different color. If the color
of an object is set on BYLAYER and
the object is re-assigned to a different layer, the object will assume the color
of the latter.
- 2)
To change the color of the layer on which the object is. It the color of the object
is set on BYLAYER,the
object will assume the new color of the layer. When the color assigned to a layer
is modified, all the objects on it, bearing the setting BYLAYER, will
automatically be updated.
- 3)
To specify a color for the object, ignoring the color of the layer. It is possible
to explicitly assign a different color to each object, overriding the color of the
layer. Modify the color of such object from BYLAYER to
a specific color (e.g. red or other).
To
set a specify color for all the subsequently created objects, modify the color setting
on the Property toolbar, substituting
BYLAYER with
a specific color.
