It is possible to use object properties or object types to include objects in a selection set or to exclude them.

Using the menu Edit Select...Filter selectable objects, the following dialog window appears..

With this window it is possible to filter selection sets by object type. For example, it is possible to select all of the circles in a drawing without selecting any other object; or to select all the other objects except the circles.

Using the menu Edit menu Select... Save current selection as... it is possible to save the current selection to use it in future using Edit  Select Restore saved selection
