It defines a selection through a polygonal line: the selection will included the objects in the selected area

It selects all the objects intersecting a WPOLYGON selection. The WPOLYGON method is similar to the CPOLYGON one, except that WPOLYGON does not select the intersected objects, but only the included ones. Specify the vertexes of the selecting polygonal, then press Enter to close it or[Undo] :Specify a point or enter U to delete the last point or ENTER to finish.
