Specifying intervals on objects - Introduction

It provides a detailed overview of two options for marking equal distances along objects.

Sometimes it is necessary to create points at intervals on an object.

It is possible :

• to specify the length of the segments (MEASURE)
• or to specify the number of equal segments (DIVIDE)

It is possible to measure or divide lines, arcs, splines, circles, ellipses, and polylines. With both methods, one can identify the intervals by inserting a point.

By specifying points, it is possible to use the Node object snap to align other objects at intervals on the measured or divided object.
