With devFoam is possible to create many objects, from simple lines and circles to spline curves and ellipses. The different types, in increasing order of geometric complexity, are described in the list here below.

• Drawing linear objects
  A line, the most basic object, can be formed by one segment or a series of connected segments.
• Drawing curved objects
  The various curved objects include arcs, circles, polyline arcs, ellipses and splines.
• Drawing construction and reference geometry
  The construction lines and the reference points are temporary objects, created to help drawing accurately.
• Creating and combining areas (Regions)
  The regions are two-dimensional enclosed areas that have physical properties such as centroids or centers of mass. To calculate a total area, existing regions can be combined into a single, complex region.
