It is possible to break an object into two objects with or without a gap between them. It is also possible to join objects into a single object.

Breaking objects

Use the BREAK command to create a gap inside an object, resulting in two separate objects with a gap between them. The BREAK command is often used to create the necessary space to insert a block or some text.

To break an object without creating a gap, use the BREAK_P command to break the object in one only location.

Joining objects  

Use the CONNSEL command to connect lines by selection and create a single object. It is possible to join:

The object to which similar objects will be joined is called a source object. The CONNSEL command also describes the restrictions concerning the joining of each type of object.
