A Cad
document of devFoam can use many different Units, but in the Cam/Cnc world only
millimeters and inches are usually considered.
And switching from mm to inches or viceversa is not an usual task. Probably if
you selected to work with mm all your
Cutting paths will use mm.
So devFoam set the
Cutting path export Units as a global parameter.
You will use the 'Cut - Cutting Unit of measurement' menu
to select the Unit.
The same for the Cutting Tolerance of the exported
Cutting path.
But what is it? When you are going to cut for example an Arc, it will be
rendered as many little lines in the
Cutting path. The Cutting Tolerance value set the max distance between
the original arc and the lines of the Cutting
path. The lower the Cutting Tolerance, the larger the number of lines
(and the size of the exported
Cutting path).
You will use the 'Cut - Cutting Tolerance' menu to set
the Cutting Tolerance value.
This is different from the Tolerance value of a
Cad document, as that defines the precision of the rendering of curves
just inside the Cad
document.
