How can I import a drawing?

How can I import a drawing?

To import a drawing you can use the 'File - Open' menu.
If you open a DC1 (devCad/devFoam), DXF, DWG, Hpgl or Plt file you will see it immediately in a Cad document
If you have a raster image, see  I have some picture of the parts I want to cut. How can devFoam help me?

If you already opened a Cad document you can import drawings in these way:

• Use the 'File -Import Regions from many file types...' menu. See also Importing regions in a new Cad drawing  
• Use the 'File -Import Polylines from many file trypes...' menu. See also Importing polylines in a new Cad drawing
• Use the 'File - Import from DXF r12' menu
• Use the 'File - Import from DWG' menu
• Use the 'File - Import from DXF' menu
• Use the 'File - Import from simple Hpgl/Plt file' menu
• Use the 'File - Import from DAT file' menu

You can now check and eventually clean dirty geometries, then select the Part and use the Simple cutting or  the Advanced cutting  feature.
